343 Labs announced the launch of their one-of-a-kind digital music education hub for producers. 343 Studio will give members direct access to some of the world’s leading DJs and producers in real-time, through live masterclasses, workshops, feedback sessions, and more.

343 Studio features daily classes, feedback sessions, contests, and networking opportunities which are all streamed live or hosted via video conferencing technology so that users can interact with artists and peers. Lessons are recorded so that they can be watched again at a later time. Access starts at $9.99/month, with additional access to artists and classes according to the needs of its members, as well as gamification to further boost community engagement. Members will also be able to set up user profiles to track their progress and interact with their peers. For artists, 343 Studio is a great way to earn additional income when touring is disrupted by global health restrictions.

American EDM producer/DJ Great Dane, who teaches music production at 343 Labs, explains, “343 Studio is an amazing tool for musicians around the world to join in on a conversation with accomplished producers and artists to learn about their best techniques and practices.”

German dance producer/DJ Innellea says, “It was a new experience for me to share how I make music with a big group of producers. I was nervous to start with, but then I loved sharing some of my tips and my creative approach with the audience.”

During the global pandemic, the e-learning industry has grown by 36% and is expected to reach US $374 billion by 2026. Music tech leaders such as Ableton and Splice almost doubled their user base during the pandemic and the online music education industry is following this trend, with universities worldwide having moved completely online and students now expecting to learn from the comfort of their homes.

Whereas in the past, digital learning has occurred through self-paced learning and pre-recorded video lessons, as popularized by MOOCs such as Udemy, Coursera, and Lynda, users now are looking for more personal education experiences, with interactive classes, where they can also engage with a community.

“The pandemic has changed the way we learn and interact in an educational setting,” says 343 Labs co-founder and Ableton Certified Trainer Max Wild. “In the past, lessons were delivered through pre-recorded videos, but today online learners want to be part of a community and access training in real-time. This is where 343 Studio comes in, a place where students can learn from some of the world’s best producers and DJs, while building connections with their peers.”

About 343 Labs

Imagine you want to produce your own music. You’ve taken classes in music production or watched a slew of YouTube tutorials and finally written your first song. But now you need to know if your music is good enough, how to make it better, and then how to get the world to hear it.

This is where 343 Studio comes in; a one-of-a-kind digital music education hub for producers where members gain access to some of the world’s leading producers in the industry, get feedback on their music, deepen their skills through masterclasses, and collaborate with a like-minded community of talent.

343 Studio is the brain child of 343 Labs, one of the world’s leading music production schools, based in New York City and Berlin, where students learn how to make their own tracks in a matter of weeks. Endorsed by Berlin-based music-tech pioneer Ableton, students can learn the ins and outs of Ableton’s powerful software, which gives users the ability to create songs on their laptops, that previously could only be produced in multi-million dollar recording studios.

343 Labs’ founders Max Wild and Nacho Isa are musicians that met at a party at Burning Man in 2017. Max Wild is a classically trained jazz musician who attended prestigious conservatories in London and New York and played saxophone in all-night London raves in the late 90s as a college student. He later made education an important part of his career, and taught at the infamous Dubspot electronic music school in NYC. Nacho Isa is a Barcelona-born DJ who has played parties all over the world since his college years, and also curates music for a number of night clubs in New York City. His extensive network in the electronic music scene has created a steady flow of prominent DJs sharing their knowledge and inspiration with the 343 Labs community.

Since launching in 2018, 343 Labs has quickly grown into one of the leading music production schools worldwide, where students can learn how to make their own tracks in a matter of weeks. Accomplished producers teach students in small group settings in NYC, Berlin, as well as digital classrooms. During the pandemic, when DJ’s were unable to perform, 343 Labs launched 343 Pro Sessions, which are 2-day masterclasses in which DJs and producers share their music-making process with their audience. 343 Labs is redefining music education by breaking down physical and technological boundaries in the classroom, and constantly developing new approaches to learning how to make music.
