0Artist RGM150 Has Big Plans for 2022
Born and raised in Jamaica Queens, NYC, Rene Martinez, better known as RGM150, is a modern-day artist making a name for himself on the scene today after taking a brief hiatus from recording.
Originally hitting the scene as Type-R Dibiasi in 2005, he dropped singles that consistently earned national and statewide attention, all culminating in his final release in 2009, “Million Dollar Man”, which was exclusive to MySpace.
Once the pandemic hit, RGM150 had a lot more time on his hands and got back into recording with fellow artist G.ame O.ver. The two started a label and publishing company, Hoolie Nation, which has brought them both international recognition. They released the freshman album, CheckMate, which now has nearly 375K streams worldwide.
Even since his beginning days as Type-R, RGM150 knows how difficult it can be to make it as an independent artist, so he’s making it a point to help out artists who might be in similar situations to have the resources and support they need to make it.
Looking into the future, RGM150 has big plans for himself and Hoolie Nation. The first thing on his mind is international expansion, and he has a solid line-up of mixtape project releases set for the upcoming year. You can hear more from RGM150 and his latest projects at the following links:
