Exclusive: Undefeated Bellator MMA Star Jornel Lugo On The Music He Listens To While Training For “Bellator 275”

Bellator is a leading global MMA and kickboxing promotion featuring many of the best athletes in the world. Under the direction of veteran fight promoter Scott Coker, Bellator events take place in major cities around the world and can be seen on television in over 160 countries to an available audience of over 1 billion people. In the States, Bellator events from all over the world can be seen on Showtime — a new TV deal announced last year — and online via Pluto TV and Bellator’s YouTube channel.

Bellator 275 is the company’s return to Ireland, as set to take place this Friday, February 25, 2022. In the co-main event, one of the most dominant middleweight fighters of all time — and current Bellator World Champion — Gegard Mousasi (48-7, 2 NC) defends his crown against undefeated American Top Team standout Austin Vanderford (11-0). Its co-main event will see Ireland’s most-recent title challenger Sinead Kavanagh (7-5) and Northern Ireland’s Leah McCourt (6-1) battle in what may be the biggest Irish female fight ever. Bellator 275 is the first Bellator event to air live on BBC Three in the UK.

On February 23, 2022, I had the pleasure of speaking with the undefeated Jornel “A1” Lugo (7-0) in advance of his Bellator 275 fight against Brian Moore, as embedded below. More on Lugo, future Bellator MMA events and other top Bellator talent can be found here, here and here.
