Whynot Jansveld On Playing With Butch Walker & The Wallflowers, Mastering, Future Plans & More

Bassist — and guitarist, singer & occasional keyboardist — Whynot Jansveld is an in-demand musician for both touring and recording projects. Currently he is part of The Wallflowers and the backing bands of Butch Walker and Richard Marx, while also making time to master recordings for other artists. Other credits for Jansveld include Natasha Bedingfield, Sara Bareilles, The Weepies, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Brett Dennen, Gavin DeGraw, Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi, Jonatha Brooke, Vertical Horizon, Tonic’s Emerson Hart, and Teddy Thompson. In turn, Jansveld’s TV appearances include the talk shows of Jimmy Kimmel, James Corden, Conan O’Brien, Ellen DeGeneres and Kelly Ripa.

On February 1, 2022, I had the pleasure of speaking with Whynot Jansveld via Zoom, as embedded below. We not only spoke about current and upcoming projects for Jansveld, but also how he wound up with the career he does today. The L.A.-based performer also kindly entertained some questions about Van Halen and KISS — early influences of his — for my upcoming book within the conversation.

More about Whynot Jansveld can be here, here, here and here.
