Duwayne Brown, better known as Dooney “Da Barber is a Texas Licensed Barber, Licensed Instructor, International Educator, Motivational Speaker, Tonsorial Hip Hop Artist, and Owner at Dooney’s Barber & Beauty Academy. Dooney has been a Texas Licensed Professional Barber License since 1992 from Larry’s Barber college located in the metroplex area of Oak Cliff in Dallas Texas. Dooney has been a Texas Professional Licensed Teacher/Instructor since 2011. Dooney became an Instructor, Lead Educator, and Area Director of Texas Barber College & Hair Styling Schools in Dallas Texas from 2012-2016. 2016 Dooney was signed as an Ambassador, and Platform artist with one of the largest clipper companies in the world ‘OSTER. Dooney has helped, taught, and trained hundreds of student barbers to become a licensed Professional Barber as well as a Licensed Instructor. Dooney name and talents are now becoming more known and recognized internationally due to Clipper Company Platform Works, a Tonsorial Hip Hop Artist /Performer, Motivational Speaking at multiple Educational Hair Symposiums, Hair Expo’s, Hair Battles, Hair Conventions, Hair Trade Shows, Social Media and Networking with others in the Hair Industry. Dooney has toured too multiple cities as an Educator and Judge with Xotics Barber Battle.
Dooney partnered, and started his own hair and trade show called the ‘Unlimited Hair Battle’ with Texas International Hair and Trade Show in 2016. Dooney’s 3rd annual hair and trade show ‘UnLimited’ is scheduled this year for April 24, 2022 at the Event Hall 4343 Gannon Ln #400 in Dallas Texas. The 2022 ‘UnLimited Hair Battle’ guest hosts will be Tik Tok, and YouTube comedian sensation Alton, Texas very own Bubba Dub Jr., Dallas Majic 94.5 Radio host Veda Loca, and Dallas 97.9 The Beat Radio hosts Jazzi Black, and DJ Pskillz.
