LL COOL J’s Rock The Bells (RTB) has a superstar by way of Hip Hop personality and host, Mouse Jones who spoke with me in support of his new series, “Wax Facts” which delves deep into Hip-Hop’s biggest one-hit wonders. Mouse has made a name for himself in the social media and podcast space covering the Hip-Hop scene through a comedic and sometimes controversial lens.
With “Wax Facts”, Mouse takes his unique approach of dissecting Rap and Hip-Hop culture to new heights as he looks back on some of the biggest one-hit wonders in the genre, examining the cultural impact of these groundbreaking songs, their lasting power, and why these artists eventually faded from the limelight. Recent episodes cover unforgettable bops including Khia’s “My Neck, My Back”, Bobby Shmurda’s “Hot Boy”, and Fast Life Yungstaz’s “Swag Surfin’”.
During the conversation, we endured tech issues but that didn’t stop us from making it happen in a stellar fashion, Mouse’s take on the state of Hip Hop and the reasons why he stepped up as a commentator on the culture is one for the books!
