Rhino On IMPACT Wrestling’s “South Philly Showdown,” The Success Of His Marina In Michigan, Tony Luke’s & More

IMPACT Wrestling has started off 2022 strong, and that continues on March 18 and 19, 2022 with the South Philly Showdown, which takes place at Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena. IMPACT’s stars will battle in the arena made famous years ago by ECW; IMPACT star Rhino was one of the most popular ECW stars, having a memorable run as the ECW World Heavyweight Champion. Meanwhile, IMPACT itself — which airs on Thursday nights at 8:00 PM EST / 7:00 PM CST — is regularly the highest-rated show on AXS TV.

Philadelphia history aside, Rhino has been wrestling professionally since 1995 with multiple championship runs in WWE, ECW and IMPACT Wrestling. Away from the ring, Rhino also has dabbled in politics, including a 2016 run for the Michigan House of Representatives. He is also the proprietor of a successful marina in Monroe, Michigan, which he then interestingly-named Big Daddy’s Boat Yard.

On March 10, 2022, I had the pleasure of speaking with Rhino again via Zoom, as embedded below. Beyond the South Philly Showdown, Rhino and I also discussed non-wrestling projects, his Michigan roots and music. More on Rhino and IMPACT Wrestling can be found here, here, here and here.
