Who is the Dynamic Afro-Latina Rapper and Entrepreneur Nanii Blanco Dacapo?!

The upcoming and thriving Afro-Latina Rapper Nanii Blanco Dacapo was raised in Brooklyn NY, and this multi-racial woman, who wears many hats is pushing to bring back hip-hop. Nanii also encourages women of all ages to reach for their dreams! As the mother of 2 who owns a cleaning company, plus hits the street with some serious bars, Nanii Blanco Dacapo is definitely more than what meets the eye!

Since she was old enough to hold the microphone music was in her, she found that music was her passion. She started taking music seriously in 2015. Nanii became a mother of two and was concerned about what her children were hearing. They became her inspiration/muse, where she vowed to make music that everyone can listen to and be able to uplift themselves with.

Nanii Blanco Dacapo may have just touched the ground to a few people but, she is growing and inspiring many people already. Making new fans from all over the world, encouraging women that they can be just like her and own their own business. This woman here will make a mark whether the world is ready or not!

Having Met Nanii via Instagram and got a little taste of her drive via her cleaning business NGC Cleaning Service as well as her music, I thought we should get to know more about this dynamic woman so we got her to weigh in on a few things!

Hype: Tell me where you are from and when did you first fall in love with music?

I’m from Brooklyn Ny (east New York) and I fell in love with music since I was about 7.

Hype: Who are your early influences/inspirations?

My grandparents are my influences I push my self so hard to make them proud, and my inspiration are my children they are truly the reason.

Hype: How did you get into rapping and how do you feel about this current generation’s creative direction?

I got into rapping because someone liked my voice, the creative generation is so unique right now Im in tune and trying to understanding the art but….. The wheels are always rolling so I don’t know what to feel about it.

Hype: How important is the love for what you do and desire?

That is the key component! Without it there would be no music from me!

Hype: You are Afro-Latina. How important is the culture and you with this leading by example?

The culture is so important because being a Latina they already have an image of what I’m supposed to look like. (Which I don’t) so it is so important to me to express my culture being from what I feel is the best of all 3 worlds ( African American, Puerto Rican and Italian).

Hype: You recently released your latest project, COOTIE, what was the inspiration for this project?

Honestly cootie was going into a whole different direction when I 1st started it. And then got redirected in something outside the box for me.

Hype: When was the first time you were in love how did you know it was real?

I’m still understanding the term “love” because it because I’m so many different terms. So when I find out I’ll tell yah!

Hype: Do you feel like this generation needs to communicate and help more with others?

Absolutely could you even imagine if the world actually did! Mannneee it would be amazing……

Hype: What makes you different in your lane in the Hip-hop?

I haven’t met another women rapping boom bap right now.

Hype: What does success mean to you?

HAPPINESS!

Hype: What’s next for you?

To take over the world one step at a time.
