Juan Gutierrez On The New “Altos Together” Campaign Of Olmeca Altos Tequila, Music, Goals & More

With 61 percent of American couples reportedly sharing that not having a regular date night is a stressor on a relationship, and 55 percent of couples sharing they have run out of date night ideas since the COVID-19 pandemic began, Olmeca Altos Tequila emerged to help everyday folks to mix things up. The by-product of this is a fun new interactive at-home date night experience for which the acclaimed tequila brand teamed up with Netflix and Food Network champion and chocolatier Juan Gutierrez and TikTok dance sensation Brian Esperon, who had choreographed the viral WAP challenge. In turn, Altos Tequila created Altos Juntos — the simple translation of that being “Altos Together” — to encourage couples to shake things up and remix the at-home date night experience.

As launched in May 2022, Olmeca Altos Tequila, Juan Gutierrez and Brian Esperon worked to refine the traditional “mixer” with 2 interactive experiences guided by step-by-step demonstrations. Consumers are able to enjoy these interactive experiences at no cost via AltosJuntos.Teachable.com, while that site itself also let visitors purchase a curated cocktail kit to enhance their date night; that kit provided all of the ingredients needed to make 2 Altos Sparkling Palomas and 2 Altos Home Margaritas at home, along with a bottle of the highly-recommended-by-yours-truly Olmeca Altos Plata.

Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of speaking with Juan Gutierrez via Zoom, as embedded below. Beyond his work with Olmeca Altos Tequila and his appreciation for Brian Esperon, we also discussed upcoming projects, music, and career goals. More on Gutierrez can be found here, here and here.
