The Top Players in the NFL

The NFL is one of the most exciting sports leagues in the world to watch, and the standard and ability of the players is absolutely huge. There is always some debate in the bars and terraces as people look to establish who the very best players are. Who should be in the All-Star teams? Who is the real MVP?

If you are looking for the top NFL picks for gambling, too, there is a lot to be said for paying close attention to the players, and who the very best are in the league. If a team has some superstar players, it makes sense they will have a better chance of winning games or even winning the championship overall.

As well as some top players, there are some top men in the NFL. When Donovan McNabb made it his business to help out Arizona families, we saw that there are some really charitable people with a community spirit working in the NFL, but in this guide, we’re looking at the top players based purely on ability. Let’s dive into our list of the very best (of course, you’ll probably have your own opinions on this, too).

Aaron Rodgers – Green Bay Packers

Rodgers is a consistent MVP winner and continues to prove his worth as one of the most important and influential players in the whole league. The Packers team is built around him and his last two years have been incredible. As well as avoiding a lot of turnovers and interceptions, he makes some big plays time and time again. We know what to expect from Rodgers, and surely nobody can really deny that he has earned his place on this list.

Trent Williams – San Francisco 49ers

If you buy into the PFF grades then Trent Williams is undeniably one of the best around. His 2021 season saw him hit 97.8 on the PFF scale, and his run-blocking was simply unbelievable.

Williams is one of the best athletes we could hope to see in the game, and he has it all. He’s incredibly strong as well as being quick and agile. He allowed only 16 pressures in 15 games last season and his run-blocking is simply unbelievable. His worth to the 49ers is huge.

Aaron Donald – LA Rams

At this time, while Donald is still playing, it’s hard to know exactly where he will stand in a list of all-time greats. People have compared him to the likes of Joe Greene and Reggie White, and though there wasn’t as much in the way of statistics when those guys played, it makes sense to make these kinds of comparisons with the unbelievable Aaron Donald.

Donald’s PFF grade was higher than any other defender last season, and he led the team to win the championship, proving he can come up big when it counts.

Josh Allen – Buffalo Bills

When Allen had an incredible season in 2020, a lot of people thought it might be a one-off, but this was not the case. His PFF grading has stayed just as high, and in the playoffs, Allen was particularly good. He’s incredibly good at running as well as passing, and his physicality is pretty spectacular.

He managed 10 first downs by rushing in just two playoff games, which shows that Allen has a variety of skills in his makeup. Allen is still relatively young and we believe he has a spectacular career ahead of him.

Tom Brady – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

We can’t leave him off the list.

What is there to say about Tom Brady that hasn’t already been said? He’s the greatest of all time, and there is no denying that he had to be on our list of top players in the NFL. He’s maybe past his peak, but that doesn’t mean that he isn’t one of the best players in the league.

Nearly 45 years old and still going strong in the NFL, his decision to reverse his retirement has proved to be a good one. He still has loads to offer and this means that people will continue to rate him as one of the best in the league right now, as well as undeniably being the greatest of all time.

Conclusion

What do you think of our list? Have we called it right or would you put someone else in a list of the top players in the NFL currently? There’s always room for debate when it comes to NFL stats.
