Jay Chandrasekhar On Directing The New Jo Koy Film “Easter Sunday,” Future Broken Lizard Projects, His Novel & More
Starring acclaimed comedian Jo Koy as a man returning home for an Easter celebration with his loving and uproariously unpredictable family, Easter Sunday features riotous bickering, eating, drinking, laughing and loving reign supreme. If you have been watching comedic films and/or television over the last 20-something years, then you have undoubtedly seen the work of the aforementioned Jay Chandrasekhar. Chandrasekhar first broke out in a big way as a member of the comedy troupe Broken Lizard, which helmed the cult-favorite movies Super Troopers, Club Dread and Beer League. Chandrasekhar himself directed the major 2005 film The Dukes Of Hazzard, beyond episodes of Arrested Development, Psych, Community, Happy Endings, New Girl, The Goldbergs, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Fresh Off The Boat. In turn, Chandrasekhar has been steadily working for decades as an actor, stand-up comedian, writer, producer and director.
