DJ Chewy Makes Community & Radio Impact
DJ Chewy or Chewy is a well known on air talent and radio personality based in Charlotte, Nc. Chewy is currently on Streetz 103.3 FM Monday through Friday from 2pm – 6pm and every Sunday on Atlanta’s own Streetz 94.5 FM from 3pm – 6pm. Being accredited for turning up the crowd and controlling the crowd on the “One Of Them Ones” tour, DJ Chewy continues to be recognized for his talents. As a music tastemaker and one of the most influential Djs in the North Carolina market, Chewy has been tasked to assist in showcasing the budding and rising music talent of the area and its surrounding markets. It also helps that he works with some of the biggest artists from North Carolina including DaBaby, and Dreamville Records.
Chewy a motivated metal health advocate, has been on a mission in the Queen City to build as much awareness as possible on the effects of mental health and how to cultivate a healthy mind. The Impact stemming from social issues, and stigmas that plague many people on an everyday basis. Chewy takes the time out to do community outreach and connect with the younger generation at local schools, helping students to identify and overcome feelings of doubt and deal with depression.
Currently Chewy has made history being the first person from Charlotte to have a radio show in Atlanta, GA., a top 5 market while still being on radio in Charlotte, NC. Chewy has noted one of the main things that helps him to continue to stay focused and motivated is being a #GirlDad, a father and provider for his daughter.
