Empowering Education: Building a Computer Lab for Pataban M/A Basic School in Ghana

Proponents of STEAM programs have a remarkable opportunity to transform the lives of over 500 students in the rural village of Pataban, Ghana. The local economy heavily influences the educational well-being of children in remote African regions, and Pataban is no exception. Recently, Nana Amoako Yiadom Gyata the FIHANKRAHENE, Agogo Traditional Area, Asante Akim North; NYANUASEHENE, Nyanuase, Agogo, Asante Akim North, and President of Ghana – USA Traditional & Cultural Council Diaspora, made an appeal to the world to assist in the establishment of a computer lab for the Pataban M/A Basic School.

Harnessing the Power of Technology

In his petition, Nana Amoako Yiadom Gyata states, In our modern world, technology plays an integral role in various aspects of life, with countless daily activities requiring technological proficiency. Moreover, many professions necessitate specialized knowledge of technology. It is therefore crucial to provide students with access to modern educational tools that can enhance their learning abilities for generations to come.

The majority of students attending the Pataban M/A Basic School come from my Traditional Leadership in the neighboring village of Nyanuase. As the project’s chairman, I earnestly seek willing donors who recognize the significance of modern education methods. I implore you to join me in making a profound impact on the lives of these students.

Fundraising for the Future

To bring this transformative vision to life, the school and its Headmaster aim to raise  $3,200 USD, which astonishingly amounts to 35,000 Ghanaian cedis (GHS). Generous donations will have an immediate and tangible effect on the education of these students.

In order to ensure that your contribution is fully tax-deductible, the Holy African Orthodox Church, an IRS 501(c)(3) religious-exempt organization, has agreed to serve as the financial administrator under its “Mission’s Efforts” program.

DONATE Here

There was an inspirational “Prize Giving Day” and Fund Raising Ceremony of Pataban M/A Basic School on the 14th of June, 2023 at the school’s premises (Pataban), and Nana Amoako Yiadom Gyata, currently here in the States, appeared virtually as the CHAIRMAN of the ceremony.

An Investment in Opportunity

Your donation will not only enhance the education of these students but also grant them access to a world of opportunities. Should you consider making a donation and kindly share this message with your family and friends as well. Together, we can create a lasting impact on the future of these children and their entire community.
