Essence Ventures CMO Erika Bennett on Hip Hop 50 and BeautyCon
As black culture and excellence descended upon New Orleans for the 29th annual Essence Festival of Culture™ Presented by Coca Cola®, we got the chance to speak with Essence Ventures CMO, Erika Bennett about her Hip Hop favorites, BeautyCon, and her journey thus far in the C-Suite at Essence. Bennett embodies black girl magic in her work to amplify black voices and diversity in entertainment.
A time was had at The Essence Festival of Culture, and The Hype Magazine was there to check out the unforgettable daytime experiences at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The weekend was filled with appearances by Black leaders and celebrities such as Vice President Kamala Harris, Oprah Winfrey, Taraji P. Henson, Kelly Rowland, Jeezy, Rev.
