Chat with Superstar Actress, Renata Vaca who Played “Gabriela” in Blockbuster Movie, “SAW X”
Renata Vaca is an astoundingly gifted and multifaceted actress who has been featured in several hit TV series and movies. Some of the actress’s biggest roles include a recent feature in the blockbuster “SAW X” as well as roles in “Juego de héroes” and “El comediante”. In addition to her stellar displays in big movies, Renata has also played prominent roles in major telenovelas such as “Rosario Tijeras” and “La reina soy yo”. The star actress truly takes pride in dedicating herself to her craft and fully embraces the roles she plays in order to provide viewers with the best experience possible! The Hype Magazine’s Life & Style correspondent, Charles Myambo (CM) had an interview with Renata Vaca (RV). Below are some excerpts from the interview.

CM: It goes without question that you have carved out quite the reputation for yourself as an elite actress! How and when did you fall in love with acting?
RV: Aww first of all thank you very much! I’ve been in love with acting since I was 4! And I remember the moment very very well. I was watching a movie with my mom in our room and I was having so much fun watching those little people on the tv, that I just shouted “I want to do that”, and from that day on I’ve been crazy about acting and art in general.
CM: Still just 24 years of age, you already find yourself emerging into a household name in Hollywood. What would you attribute your success to?
RV: Omg well, I truly think that hard work, faith and good luck are 3 things that can make you succeed in any aspect of your life. Speaking specifically about my career as an actress, I can say that it’s been years and years of hard work, not only my hard work, but hard work from amazing people that I’ve met along the way, auditions, heartaches, dances, and lots of crazy things that this path has given to me, and, i’m sure that if you go through all of that, life sends you the right opportunity so that you can prove what you’ve been working for all this time. Of course, I’m definitely sure that there is x much for me to conquer out there as an actress, but I’m very grateful and happy with the opportunity to be part of an iconic franchise like SAW.
CM: The acting industry is highly competitive and most prospects never make it! What made you different from the rest?
RV: There are lots of amazingly talented actresses and actors all around the world, and I think life’s good and has a space for all of us, maybe not at the same time but, I think if you keep working and believing your time to shine comes. And as simple as it sounds, I think something that makes me different from the rest is that I’m ME, there is no one in the world that can have the specific mix of things that makes me, me, my history, voice, face, sensibility, strength, energy, etc. Having said that, I believe that’s something we all have to think about when we are comparing ourselves with other people out there, even if someone is amazing (cause i’m sure they are), that doesn’t make you less incredible, it’s the other way around, you’re are unique and different from them, and that’s special.
CM: Some of your best work has been showcased in major telenovelas such as “Rosario Tijeras” and “La reina soy yo”. Kindly walk us through the kind of effort and creativity you have to put into such acting roles.
RV: I’ve had the opportunity to be part of incredible series and movies, and every time I work on a role, it feels like I’m falling in love again with acting, and with that specific role and story. Having fun is something very important for to me, I know each role requires its own rituals and ways to work with it, but, I try to enjoy all of the processes cause at the end of the day the excitement about being an actress is that you can think, love, kiss, cry, dance and live a life like a different person, and that’s amazing.
CM: Aside from telenovelas/series, you have also excelled in blockbuster films such as “Juego de héroes” (2016), “El comediante” (2021) and Saw X (2023). How would you describe those experiences?
RV: “Juego de héroes” Was actually the first movie I’ve ever worked on and I was very excited for having the opportunity to finally be doing what I love. Making movies is like doing magic, you get into a different world to tell a story and all of the people involved are working with all of their souls to bring the magic to life.
CM: Let’s take a moment to focus on your most recent work in “Saw X”. Where exactly does that rank among your favorite acting roles thus far in your career?
RV: Working on a horror movie was definitely on my bucket list but being part of a franchise that has been so important for the genre is just something that makes me crazy with joy and happiness. The role I played in SAW X – “Gabriela” gave me the chance to explore my range as an actress, cause, given the nature of the story, the scenes require all of your mind and body to be ready to give everything you have inside so that the fire can come out.
CM: We often like to give our guests the opportunity to let us know what they are working on. Renata, what can our readers expect from you in the coming months and years?
RV: Thank you very much for this space! There’s music coming, cause I love to write songs about what’s happening in my life and also, I have an amazing show coming out next year hopefully that’s called “Midnight Family” via Apple TV.
