0Chat with Highly Touted Rapper – “Roc boy preezy” who Opened for Kid Ink, Omarion & Lloyd Banks
“Roc boy preezy” is a phenomenally gifted and multifaceted rapper. His charisma and on stage flair sets him apart from most. Not only does he deliver great lyrics, but he is an exceptional entertainer! He has been a curtain raiser for several major artists such as Kid Ink, Omarion and Lloyd Banks. “Roc boy preezy” is certainly a talent to be on the lookout for. The Hype Magazine’s Life & Style correspondent, Charles Myambo (CM) had an interview with “Roc boy preezy”. Below are some excerpts from the interview.
CM: Your lyrical dynamism and flair sets you apart from most. How did you emerge into the highly touted star you are today?
Rbp: I’m a very open minded person and I like different things. I’ve been through a lot as well so I just put all of these things together and try to be creative with my lyrics, flow and delivery. I truly enjoy doing this and the fact that so many people enjoy it as well is a blessing.
CM: Most of your fans fell in love with hits like RUMBLE, FINITO and WINNER. What is the creative process and effort that goes into making such great records?
Rbp: Rumble and Finito were inspired by some of my personal experiences in life such as betrayal from old friends or family members, dealing with grief, having beef in the streets, surviving in tough environments while simultaneously being lyrical. Winner was more about dropping punchlines, double entendres, sick flow etc. It took me some time to write these records but these are real life experiences so it wasn’t difficult to come up with the lyrics. The creative part takes more time because I always think outside the box and I always feel like I can do better.
CM: Very few artists are able to truly excel in one genre let alone multiple genres. You on the other hand are a master at blending different genres and sounds. How are you so multifaceted?
Rbp: My biggest inspirations are Pac, MJ, 50 cent and Chris brown. The fact that I like so many different things just makes it easier for me to be diverse in my production. I get better everyday because I work on my craft. I spend a lot of time practicing. I’m a model, a personal trainer and did some acting as well.
CM: The music industry is often tough and cut-throat. Considering this, what made you believe that you’d make it this far when you first started?
Rbp: My persistence, hard work, quality of work, being versatile/ multi-talented and above all I have God by my side.
CM: What can fans and listeners expect from “Roc boy preezy” in 2024?
Rbp: We takin over the whole world in 2024. I have a lot on the way.
