Nick Tucker Talks Skateboarding With Lil Wayne, Mental Health, and more With Shirley Ju
Nick Tucker is deserving of every flower! The San Diego native’s most well-known attributes are his unquestionably smooth and distinct style and his aptitude for pulling off the trickiest, most technical moves in the book of skateboarding. Nick is a real inspiration for anyone out there with passion and a dream, having fell in love with skating at the tender age of 11 and become a professional three years later. Not to mention the realities of being a professional skater. Although Tucker skateboards really for enjoyment, learning those seemingly impossible stunts is equally difficult. Not only do you spend six to twelve hours a day on his skateboard, but you also essentially try something over and over again, failing numerous times until maybe hitting that one.
Nick Tucker and Shirley Ju chatted about a variety of topics, including Nick Tucker’s love of skateboarding, his relationship with his parents, his never-breaking-a-bone policy, throwing the first pitch at a San Diego Padres game, his mental health check-in, not finishing high school, and more! This was the 58th episode of Shirley’s Temple.
