Who is DJ So Cincere?

Cincinnati‘s Hottest Djs. With roots in music starting as young as 5 years old Dj So Cincere’s surrondings play a direct part in how and what he plays. Being a rigid student of the craft, He obtained a degree from The Ohio Center of Broadcasting in October of 2014.

What is the significance of your name and how did you get that name?
Well I was Born and Raised in Cincinnati and music is a passion of mine so I came up with a name that not only portrays my love of music but my love for my city as well hence DJ So Cincere.

Describe your style?
High Tempo, energetic Upbeat Music that lights a fire under your feet to dance. I am more of a Hip Hop/R&B DJ but I played several instruments from the age of 5 to my senior year in High school so my musical taste and choices are extremely open.

What was the first record you started scratching and mixing on the turntables?
Honestly I couldn’t tell you the exact first track I started spinning but I can tell you the one I played and practiced with the most was LL Cool J Headsprung. It is a great record to scratch with and comes in with a bang.

Your recently dropped “Cin City Volume One” hosted by yourself. Talk about this mixtape game and how it’s really affecting the development and revealing of talent on different levels.
With Social Networks, streaming, and Internet radio available now, the world can hear your music in a matter of seconds. So mixtapes took a huge leap as the technology to market them grew. Makes discovering new music and talent extremely simple now.

What artists are you listening to right now?
There’s 4 main ones as of now. Gotta say Future, his music is everywhere right now. Yo Gotti is definitely all over my playlists. Two up and coming artist from my city.,,Big Deal & DaeWun have caught my ear with some bangers. Of course I listen to some old school to catch up on some great music and pay homage to those who laid the foundation.

Who would you like to work with in the future?
I would love to do mixtapes with Dj Drama, Dj Smallz, & Dj Scream.

What would be the steps you would take as a Dj to Break an artist in your area?
Make sure that artist has been and is still marketing themselves Internet and Street promotion. Listen to song to determine if they fit any of the crowds I Dj for and what music fits alongside of it.

Someone supposed to meet you somewhere and they still layin in bed. You call to see how long they are going to be and they tell you 5 minutes. You and me both know it’s not goin be 5 minutes…Where They Do That At????
