Talib Kweli Restores Hip Hop in Premiere Album Radio Silence

The divine Talib Kweli revamps his classic sound with seventh solo album, Radio Silence.  Talib Kweli is the essence of Brooklyn.  He merges the past and future to illuminate the spirit of Brooklyn in his latest album.  Kweli is a beacon for the resistance of political and social injustices.  For nearly two decades he has place Conscious hip hop in the mainstream.

Just weeks ago, Kweli defined the rawkus of quality art and production.  Talib Kweli distinctively relies on a more modern uptempo sound accompanied by multiple current artist such as Anderson Paak, Waka Flocka Flame, Jay Electronica, BJ Chicago Kid, Rick Ross, and soulful crooner Bilal.  For those used to the 2002 Quality album, or late nineties acoustic jazz soundbombings, this album is Kweli’s evolution.  For Kweli’s last album The Seven, he enlisted fellow New York veteran Styles P, in an epic rhyme score.

Talib Kweli is a hip hop emcee and activist most known for his BlackStar sessions with Mos Def.  “Hip hop for Respect” formulated as the two tackled the illicit issue of Police Brutality.  Kweli consistently uses his platform to promote change.  His movement is deeper than rhyme.  As an entrepreneur Kweli crafted Blacksmith Records and Javotti Media as a massively authentic ode to hip hop.  In honor of Mike Brown’s Tragic Death from a highly volatile Police Shooting, that erupted into unity and rioting; Kweli held the benefit show “Ferguson is Everywhere.”  The show involved artist such as Bun B, Dead Prez, Immortal Technique, Rebel Diaz, and Pharoahe Monche.

Kweli invests in the intrinsic art of soul music, this album embodies a new direction.  The ultrasonic unity of exhibits a soundtrack that mirrors Brooklyn.  The dexterity of verses is a rare caliber from quintessential emcee.  Talib Kweli as an student, or true seeker exudes revolutionary philosophy.  His precise technique proves hip hop’s Reflection is Eternal.
