Daughter Of Snoop Dogg, Choc Releases “New Phone, Who Dis?” Featuring Kamaiyah

Choc is bringing back the old school R&B vibes with a positive message for women across the world. New Phone, Who Dis” is now available on all streaming platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify, and Tidal.

Hot on the trails of her debut single, “Same”, daughter of legendary entertainment mogul, Snoop Dogg Cori Broadus, also known as CHOC, is ripping the music scene with her fierce new single, New Phone, Who Dis?” feat. Bay Area sensation, Kamaiyah.

As the daughter of Hip-Hop icon Snoop Dogg, Cori first came to the scene a decade ago in the E! Entertainment series, Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood. Cori is now a young woman firmly in control of her own destiny. Under the stage name of CHOC, she exudes fresh confidence as she embarks on her own musical journey.

Reflecting on her early participation in Father Hood, she admits “having cameras follow you all day, every day; putting mics on you; telling you what to do – that was very new for me, and honestly I didn’t like it at that age.” However, CHOC does realize the experience ultimately beneficial to her: “It did prepare me for now, because now if I’m on camera, I’m like ‘I got this. I’m used to it.’ It’s comfortable.”

Premiering a track that presents an uplifting message was important to CHOC, who notes, “You have a lot of records that are negative and that are talking about how guys ain’t nothing. Don’t get me wrong, I do have records like that because we go through those things and girls want to hear that. I thought it would be dope to put out a positive record first and just get people vibing… get them used to CHOC and what CHOC brings to the table.”

CHOC’s priority is empowering herself and other young women. “I’m all about girl power. People like to disrespect girls, women, all the above – I want to be the one to stand up, be a role model, and fight for what’s right.” Now eighteen and clearly coming into her own, she’s in the perfect position to do so. “Now that I’m CHOC I feel like I have a story and I have a purpose. It’s more personal now,” she elaborates. “I’ve been through things, and I’m able to express that.” With this distinct sense of direction, CHOC has found her voice and is finally ready to harness it.
