Live Session: Houston’s Billyracxx is Setting a New Bar With ‘Butterflies Pt. 1’

Known for his edgy tracks and incredible visual productions, Billyracxx is breaking barriers in the music industry. Constantly raising the bar for himself, the Houston rapper focuses on creating stunning, next level videos to accompany his groundbreaking style of Hip-Hop. Calling Houston, TX home for more than a decade, he’s originally from Florida and the mix has created an amalgamation of experiences for the rapper as he delivers gritty and emotionally stirring music. The rapidly advancing young lion describes himself as somewhat of an alien in the music world as he creates his own mold, delivering a uniquely crafted sound. His latest project “Butterflies Pt. 1” was heralded with the release of lead single “Kill Me” an excellent introduction to the project which could be described as otherworldly.

I first got to experience Billyracxx last year via his single “Shotgun” which piqued my interest and had me on the watch for this artist and now he’s back killing it with his new EP Butterflies Pt. 1 a five-track ride which can both put you on the edge of your seat and make you sit back and reflect on some things.

Ahead of this critical release, The Hype Magazine got to catch up with Billyracxx by phone to discuss the project, what brought him to the music industry and where he sees his music taking us in the future. The conversation was one that needs to be heard to catch all the nuances and thus we left it as an audio piece for full effect…Tune in!
