Hailing from Kingston, Jamaica’s notorious Cockburn Pen neighborhood, Kemar Vershawn Brown, aka Vershon embraced music from an early age. Inspired by local heroes like Super Cat, and Boney M’s classic 1978 recording of ‘Brown Girl in the Ring’ in particular when he wrote his first song and sang in church at just nine years old. Having previously had one of the anthems of 2016 with ‘Inna Real Life’ – Vershon continued to prove his ability with the addition of hit tracks such as ‘Boom’, ‘Key Fi Mi Life’, most recent release ‘Outside’ and much more.
