Live Session: Roc Nation’s Hip Hop/R&B Duo on the Rise Ceraadi!

Back Story – LA-based R&B/Hip Hop duo, Ceraadi consists of sisters, Sayir and Emaza Gibson, who rose to stardom late last year with a hit single, and have continued to grow through partnerships with brands like Pretty Little Thing, Guess, and Savage x Fenty. Forbes calls the duo “dynamic, diverse, and distinct,” and iHeartRadio calls the sisters one of the “budding hip-hop duos” of the year

Ceraadi is supported by a fierce following. And, with over half a million followers on TikTok, and 2 million on Instagram, the duo is uniquely successful in maintaining an authentic and organic relationship with their loyal supporters.

The pair, signed to Jay-Z’s iconic record label Roc Nation, dropped their latest single BFF on September 4th. The record skillfully blends the duo’s inventive, modern, style while still honoring their roots in the 90s hip-hop aesthetic. The track is an homage to the sister’s unbreakable bond, and the first peek into their upcoming sophomore project Get Ready With Me. After the success of their introductory EP, Ceraadi’s Playlist, the pair is eager to continue their practice of bringing their dedicated following along with them as they create and promote the album’s visuals.

The Hype Magazine got a chance to catch up with Ceraadi for an amazing interview covering their journey, philosophy, and sense of style as well as how they are holding up during COVID! Brilliant and entertaining, these sisters have an uncanny knack for finishing each other’s sentences or saying what the other is thinking and so this rapidly turned into a conversation that had the chuckles coming one behind the other…tune in!
