0Kron Moore On Finding Success With BET’s “The Oval” & The CW’s “Stargirl,” Detroit, Plans & More
Breakout star Kron Moore (pronounced “Kay-Rin”) is known for bringing dynamic female characters to life. Currently seen as Victoria Franklin in Tyler Perry’s highly-rated series The Oval and as Dr. Chapel on The CW’s Stargirl, the Atlanta-based actress — by the way of Detroit — keeping very busy these days. Prior to finding success within the television realm, Moore worked on a variety of film, theatrical, voiceover and singing-oriented projects. She paid her dues and 2021 is shaping up to be her year.
Notably, The Oval was one of the first scripted television shows to resume production in the U.S. in the the midst of the still-on-going COVID-19 quarantine bubble. With production resumed last summer, The Oval will be returning to BET for its second season on February 16th. Meanwhile, the next season of Stargirl is rumored to be premiering in April 2021, per multiple writers on the D.C. Comics beat.
On February 10, 2021, I had the pleasure of speaking with Kron Moore via Zoom, as embedded below. More on the acclaimed actress — who is much nicer than Victoria Franklin, of course — can be found online twitter.com/kronmoore, instagram.com/kronmoore and her Amazon credits page.
