20 Cocktail Recipes To Make At Home In April 2021 & Beyond

Winter 2021 is now behind us, and now Spring 2021 is now underway, signaling that beach season is just around the corner. On behalf of The Hype Magazine, I have rounded up 20 recipes for mixed drinks from top brands and acclaimed mixologists, as featuring a variety of high-quality spirits.

St-Germain Spritz

Ingredients:
– 2 parts Martini & Rossi
– 1 1/2 parts St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur
– 2 parts Sparkling water
– Glass: Collins
– Garnish: Lemon twist
– Ice

Method:
– Fill a tall Collins glass with ice.
– Add Martini & Rossi first, then St-Germain, then Club Soda.
– Stir completely and then garnish with a lemon twist.

Noilly Pray Original Dry Le Sud

Ingredients:
– 2.5 oz Noilly Prat Extra Dry
– Chilled sparkling water
– Garnish: Frozen green grapes
– Large ice cubes/spheres

Method:
– Stack ice to the top of the glass.
– Pour Noilly Prat Original Dry over ice and top with sparkling water.
– Garnish with frozen green grapes.

Absolut Watermelon Vodka Soda

Ingredients:
– 1 part Absolut Watermelon
– 2 parts Soda Water
– Garnish: Watermelon & Lime Wedges
– Glass: Highball
– Ice Cubes

Method:
– Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
– Add Absolut Watermelon.
– Top with soda water.
– Garnish with watermelon and lime wedges.

Absolut Watermelon Vodkarita

Ingredients:
– 2 parts Absolut Watermelon
– 1 1/2 Parts Fresh Watermelon or Puree (optional)
– 3/4 Parts Lime Juice
– 3/4 Parts Simple Syrup
– 1/4 Parts Orange Liqueur
– Garnish: Watermelon Slice & Lime Wedge
– Salt (for rim)
– Glass: Rocks

Method:
– Build in tin with ice.
– Shake and strain into rocks glass with a half salt rim.
– Garnish with watermelon slide and lime wedge.

Carrot Cooler

Ingredients:
– 1.25 oz Santa Teresa 1796
– 1 oz Fresh carrot juice
– 0.75 oz Fresh carrot spiced syrup
– 0.50 oz Triple Sec
– 0.50 oz Fresh lemon juice
– 1 egg white
– Ice

Method:
– Combine all ingredients and dry shake for 10 seconds.
– Add ice, shake until chilled.
– Double strain into a coupe glass.
– Garnish with a star anise and carrot powder.

Ginger Highball

Ingredients:
– 2 oz Dewar’s Portuguese Smooth
– Fever Tree Ginger Ale
– Garnish: Lemon or lime
– Glass: Highball
– Ice

Method:
– Add whisky to a chilled highball glass.
– Fill with ice and top with ginger ale.
– Garnish with a lemon/lime.

Martini & Rossi Fiero & Tonic

Ingredients:
– 2.5 oz Martini & Rossi Fiero
– 2.5 oz Tonic water
– Garnish: Orange wheel
– Glass: Balloon
– Ice

Method:
– Pack a balloon glass with ice.
– Pour in an equal ration of Martini & Rossi Fiero and tonic water.
– Stir gently for a few moments and garnish with an orange wheel.

Classic Old Fashioned

Ingredients:
– 1 1/2 parts Chicken Cock Whiskey
– 3 dashes Angostura Bitters
– Pinch of Raw sugar
– Garnish: Cherry
– Glass: Rocks

Method:
– In a rocks glass, muddle the sugar and bitters.
– Add ice, then pour the bourbon on top.
– Stir gently to mix.
– Garnish with a cherry.

Sazerac Cocktail

Ingredients:
– 1 1/4 parts Chicken Cock Rye Whiskey
– 1 1/4 parts Cognac
– 1 Sugar cube
– 1/2 tsp Cold Water
– 3 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
– 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
– Absinthe to Rinse
– Glass: Chilled Rocks

Method:
– Rinse a chilled rocks glass with absinthe, discarding any excess, and set aside.
– In a mixing glass, muddle the sugar cube, water and both bitters.
– Add the rye and cognac fill with ice, and stir until well-chilled.
– Strain into the prepared glass.
– Twist a slice of lemon peel over the surface to extract the oils and then discard.

Spicy Paloma

Ingredients:
– 1 1/2 parts Hornitos Black Barrel Tequila
– 3/4 part Fresh Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice
– 3/4 part Fresh Lime Juice
– 1/2 part Agave Syrup
– Jalapeño
– Garnish: Grapefruit Slice
– Ice
– Glass: Rocks

Method:
– Lightly muddle 1/4 grapefruit and 4 slices jalapeño in a shaker.
– Combine remainder of ingredients into the shaker over ice and shake vigorously.
– Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
– Garnish with a grapefruit slice.

The Cheesecake Factory Pineapple Moscow Mule

Ingredients:
– 2 oz NEFT Vodka
– 2 oz Pineapple Juice
– 1/2 oz Simple Syrup
– 1/2 oz Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
– 1 Lime Wedge
– 3 oz Ginger Beer (e.g. Bundaberg)
– Optional: Candied Ginger
– Ice

Method:
– Add ice to cocktail shaker and shake hard 2-3 times.
– Before straining, add the lime wedge and ginger beer to the cocktail shaker.
– Strain contents of the cocktail shaker into appropriate size glass filled with fresh ice.
– Garnish with a Pineapple Half-Moon by bending and inserting into the glass against the rim.
– Add candied ginger if you wish.

Kid Curry

Ingredients:
– 1.5 oz High West American Prairie Bourbon
– 0.5 oz Aperol
– 0.25 oz Cynar
– 0.5 oz Lemon juice
– 0.25 oz Sudachi Juice
– 0.5 oz Garam Masala Syrup
– 1 Dash Saline Solution (1:5)
– 4 Watermelon cubes
– Fresh curry leaves
– Glass: Coupe

Method:
– Muddle watermelon in shaker tin, add remaining ingredients.
– Shake with ice then double strain into a coupe glass.
– Garnish with a fresh curry leaf.

Pomegranate Ginger Bubbly

Ingredients:
– 1/2 can Spicy Ginger Volley
– 1/2 oz triple sec
– Juice of 1/2 lime
– Splash of pomegranate juice
– Garnish with an orange and/or lime wheel and pomegranate seeds

Method:
– Combine ingredients.
– Add garnish.
– Enjoy.

Orange Is The New Babe

Ingredients:
– 1/2 cup BABE RED
– 1/2 cup Plain Seltzer
– 1/4 cup Fresh Squeezed Blood Orange Juice
– 1 tbsp Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
– Garnish: Blood Orange Slice
– Optional: Ice

Method:
– Juice the blood orange and lime into a small bowl.
– Add ice to a glass and pour in the BABE Red and seltzer.
– Stir in the orange and lime juices, then top with a blood orange slice.

Babe Frose
Makes 4-6 servings

Ingredients:
– 4 cans of BABE Rosé or BABE 100 Rosé
– 1/4 Cup NEFT Vodka
– 4 tbsp. Strawberry Simple Syrup (1/2 Cup water, 1/2 Cup sugar, 1 cup Finely Chopped Strawberries)

Method:
– Pour the BABE Rosé into a gallon ziplock bag set inside a dish then freeze overnight — don’t be concerned if it’s a little slushy.
– To make the strawberry simple syrup: Combine water and sugar in a bowl and microwave until boiling, about 1 1/2 minutes.
– Stir until sugar dissolves.
– Add the chopped strawberries and chill in the refrigerator overnight.
– Strain through a fine mesh sieve into another bowl then discard strawberry pieces.
– Add the frozen BABE Rosé, NEFT Vodka, and strawberry simple syrup to a blender then blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

Macleod Highball

Ingredients:
– 2 oz ABERFELDY 12 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
– 1 oz St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur
– Soda Water (to top)
– Garnish: Lemon Twist, Lemon Zest
– Glass: Highball
– Ice

Method:
– Pour ABERFELDY 12 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky and St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur together into a highball glass.
– Add ice and soda water, then stir to incorporate.
– Garnish with a lemon twist and lemon zest.

Honey Sour

Ingredients:
– 2 oz ABERFELDY 12 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
– 1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
– 3/4 oz Local Honey Syrup (honey syrup = 1 part honey, 1 part water)
– 1 Dash Angostura Bitters
– Egg White
– Garnish: Honeycomb
– Glass: Rocks
– Ice

Method:
– Shake all ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker then remove ice and dry shake.
– Double strain into a rocks glass with clean ice.
– Garnish with honeycomb.

Coca Spritz
Recipe by Barlow Gilmore (The Weekend Mixologist)

Ingredients:
– 2 oz Cocalero Clásico
– 2 oz Elderflower Tonic
– 3 oz Prosecco
– Garnish: Twist of Lemon
– Glass: Highball

Method:
– Add all ingredients over ice to a highball glass.
– Garnish with a twist of lemon.
– Enjoy.

Lively White Negroni

Ingredients:
– 1 oz Regal Rogue Lively White Australian Vermouth
– 1 oz Gin
– 1 oz Suze
– Glass: Rocks
– Ice

Method:
– Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass.
– Add ice.
– Stir for about 30 seconds.
– Serve over ice in a rocks glass.
– Garnish with a lemon twist.

Malibu Watermelon Mojito

Ingredients:
– 1 part Malibu Watermelon
– 1/2 part Lime Juice
– 2 parts Soda Water
– Mint Leaves
– Fresh Watermelon
– Garnish: Mint Sprit, Watermelon Wedge
– Glass: Highball

Method:
– Add watermelon, mint leaves and lime juice into a highball glass.
– Gently muddle and then fill the glass with ice.
– Add Malibu Watermelon and top with soda water.
– Garnish with mint sprig and watermelon wedge

Malibu Watermelon & Soda

Ingredients:
– 1 part Malibu Watermelon
– 2 parts Soda Water
– Garnish: Fresh Watermelon
– Glass: Highball

Method:
– Fill highball glass with ice.
– Add Malibu and soda water.
– Garnish with a watermelon slice.

Apricot Honeysuckle Spritz

Ingredients:
– 1 part Pinnacle Light & Ripe Apricot Honeysuckle Vodka
– 1 part Lillet Blanc
– Equal parts Soda Water and Tonic Water
– Garnish: Fresh Apricot, Honeysuckle, Sprig Of Thyme
– Ice

Method:
– Build in glass over ice.
– Stir gently.
– Add garnish.

Guava Lime Sparkler

Ingredients:
– 1.5 parts Pinnacle Light & Ripe Guava Lime Vodka
– 3/4 parts Honey
– 6 Mint Leaves
– Lime
– Soda Water
– Garnish: Fresh Mint, Guava
– Glass: Highball
– Ice (crushed)

Method:
– Muddle mint, lime, and honey in highball glass.
– Fill with crushed ice.
– Add vodka and stir.
– Top with soda water.
– Garnish with fresh mint and guava.
