Exclusive: “Bellator 279” Winners Bobby King & Goiti Yamauchi Answer Questions From The Hype

Bellator is a leading global MMA and kickboxing promotion featuring many of the best athletes in the world. Under the direction of veteran fight promoter Scott Coker, Bellator events take place in major cities around the world and can be seen on television in over 160 countries to an available audience of over 1 billion people. In the States, Bellator events from all over the world can be seen on Showtime — a new TV deal announced last year — and online via Pluto TV and Bellator’s YouTube channel.

Bellator 279 took place on April 23, 2022, at the Neal S. Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii. Headlined by the highly-anticipated rematch of Cris Cyborg and Arlene Blencowe, the card also features 2 World Grand Prix Quarterfinals matches as Juan Archuleta took on Raufeon Stots and Patchy Mix battled Kyoji Horiguchi. Another buzzed-about match was booked between “Fearless” Lance Gibson Jr. — who spoke with The Hype Magazine prior to his fight, as embedded below — and Nainoa Dung.

On April 23, 2022, Q&A was conducted with winners Bobby King and Goiti Yamauchi via Zoom, as embedded below. More on upcoming Bellator MMA events can be found here, here and here.
