Peels Founder Chris Hetherington On CBD, Life After 10+ Years In The NFL, Future Plans & More

Peels is a consumer-first, purpose-driven company aiming to deliver better-for-you CBD wellness products. Its CBD is a superpowered citrus brand of CBD, as derived from upcycled orange peels, making it completely free of THC, hemp and cannabis. The wellness brand was founded by 11-year NFL veteran and seasoned CEO, Chris Hetherington. Products available from Peels include its Night Oil, CBD Immunity Shot and CBD gummies, all of which certified pesticide-free and THC-free; especially of note, the Peels brand was a 2021 Purity Award Recipient from the Clean Label Project.

The aforementioned founder Chris Hetherington graduated from Yale University before signing with the Cincinnati Bengals in 1996. He would ultimately be part of the rosters of the Indianapolis Colts, Carolina Panthers, St. Louis Rams, Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers. Following his time in the NFL, found success in the finance world, beyond serving as President and CEO of the Tokyo Apache basketball team in Japan. His journey with Peels started around 2 1/2 years ago, and Peels is currently on-track to be in over 4,000 stores and retail points of purchase before the end of 2022.
