Live Session with the fabulous Achieng Agutu, known as “The Confidence Queen” by Vogue, who is a changemaker and an internet personality that has grown quickly given her creative force, infectious energy & charisma. Her content empowers women to be the best version of themselves and has filled a massive gap in the self-love, self-confidence, and body positivity industry as a leading Black plus-sized fashion and lifestyle creator. Agutu was born and raised in Kenya, but moved to Richmond, Indiana, to complete high school when she was 16 and throughout her journey managed to capture the hearts and minds of an entire generation of women via her social media posts.
Achieng has given much-needed representation and visibility to women like her and adds crucial diversity in the digital sphere and beyond. Since beginning her journey, she has partnered with major lifestyle and fashion brands such as Valentino, Beyoncé’s Ivy Park, Marc Jacobs, and Moet among others.
This conversation was fun and inspirational in keeping with the content delivered regularly by this young lioness on her amazing social media posts. We also got some additional commentary from her publicist Jackie Kronick which I kept in the recording as it brought great value to the conversation and I wanted to put Jackie on the spot!!! We covered not only Achieng’s journey but her hopes and dreams as for the results of her confidence-building content for which she has gained so much recognition across the globe.
