Michael Lombardi On The New Film “The Retaliators,” His Days On “Rescue Me,” Music & More

The Retaliators is a based-on-real-life horror-thriller that aims to push the needle forward on utilizing heavy rock/metal music in film. Not only is this done via the film’s official soundtrack but also by incorporating rock music in its storyline and integrating the artists themselves with guest appearances. It stars Michael Lombardi (FX’s Rescue Me, HBO’s The Deuce) and Marc Menchaca (Ozark, Black Mirror) with guest roles from some big musical artists, including Tommy Lee, Ivan Moody (Five Finger Death Punch), Jacoby Shaddix (Papa Roach) and Spencer Charnas (Ice Nine Kills).
On-screen appearances aside, The Retaliators — due for release this week — also highlights music from the aforementioned artists throughout the film and in its high-octane original soundtrack which will be released on September 16, 2022 via Better Noise Music. The soundtrack will also feature music from The HU, Bad Wolves, Asking Alexandria, Escape The Fate, Nothing More, From Ashes To New, All Good Things, Hollywood Undead, Eva Under Fire, Cory Marks, Hyro The Hero, and Classless Act.
