Atlanta’s Most Influential Professionals in Media Celebrated During Media Girl’s on Tour: Brown Sugar Experience

On September 29th, the 2022 Media Girls On Tour Series- powered by Media Girls Network – CEO, Jelisa Raquel hosted the Brown Sugar Experience attracting more than 200+ attendees from all over the country, during the star-studded BET Hip Hop Awards weekend.



Attendees received vital information, gems, and tools to gain access and build a career in the entertainment and media industries from some of the most powerful professionals in the industry as they were recognized for their influence and contributions to their specific industries. This amazing series included networking, pink carpet interviews by El Nicole, music by DJ A-Rod & DJ E, photo ops, exclusive vendors, delicious bites, and tasty cocktails! The MGOT media panel was moderated by Trish Honey (MGN Host/WOE Magazine).

Hundreds joined #MGOT to celebrate Atlanta’s TOP media mavens across media and entertainment industries: TV, film, music, radio, production, content creation, and editorial/print media. Some of ATL’s best were recognized, such as B.Simone (Entertainer), De’Arra Taylor (Youtube/Entrepreneur), Lakia Starks (CNN/HLN), Sevyn The Stylist (Entrepreneur), Brii Renee (Revolt TV/ Streetz 94.5 Radio Personality), Summer Jackson (CBS 46/ Atlanta Unplugged), Brian Hightower (Hot 107.9 Radio Personality), Bryson Boom Paul (The Source/ This is 50!) and many other impactful professionals.

Tiara Walton silenced the busy room with her powerful words spoken in dedication to her sister Shamira Rhodes and The Taylor Girlz gave us a surprise performance, and much more!! VIPS came through and celebrated such as Def Jam’s “Da Boy Dame”, Singer/Songwriter “Sonyae”, Revolt TV’s “Tori Brixx”, and Social Influencer “Racheal O’ Neil”.
