The Edge Pavilion at Edgewater Casino Resort Will Host Legendary American Rock Group Grand Funk Railroad in February 2023
Grand Funk Railroad, the high-energy five-piece American rock group of the 70s, will rock out with fans when they hit the stage at The Edge Pavilion, formerly the E Center, located at Edgewater Casino Resort. The internationally acclaimed group will perform their crowd-pleasing rock hits at Laughlin’s premier live entertainment and special event venue on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023.
Originating from Flint, Michigan in 1969, the top-selling American rock group includes original founding members Don Brewer and bassist Mel Schacher; singer Max Carl; lead guitarist Bruce Kulick; and keyboardist Tim Cashion. Widely known as “The American Band,” Grand Funk Railroad is known for producing an innovative signature sound, soulful vocals, muscular instrumentation, and forceful pop melodies that were later adopted by legendary bands such as Foreigner, Journey, Van Halen, and Bon Jovi.
Throughout their career, Grand Funk Railroad has had 19 charted singles, eight Top 40 hits and two No. 1 singles in “We’re an American Band” and “Locomotion,” both selling more than one million each. The group has now accumulated 13 gold and 10 platinum records with record sales in excess of 25 million copies sold worldwide. A testament to the group’s influence and staying power, mega-hits such as “We’re An American Band,” “I’m Your Captain/Closer To Home,” “Locomotion,” and “Some Kind Of Wonderful” continues to receive airplay on classic rock radio stations.
Tickets will go on sale to the public beginning at 10 a.m. PST on Thursday, Dec. 8. True Rewards Players Club members will have exclusive access to purchase presale tickets from 10 a.m. PST on Tuesday, Dec. 6 through Thursday, Dec. 8, at 9:59 a.m. PST.
