A Look At Credit Karma’s Recent “Lessons In Savings & Spending” Event With Busy Philipps & “The Budgetnista” Tiffany Aliche

Per Credit Karma, everyone deserves the chance to build a better financial future and that starts with checking your credit scores for free. Credit Karmas work with Equifax and TransUnion, 2 of the 3 major U.S. credit bureaus, to give its members access to their scores for free. On top of showing free credit scores, Credit Karma’s members can see free personalized offers and recommendations on their profiles with the intention of helping to make “their next financial move, their best move.”

Earlier this week, Credit Karma hosted a “Lessons In Savings & Spending” virtual event for select members of the media. This event was hosted by actress Busy Philipps and “The Budgetnista” Tiffany Aliche. Among the topics discussed within this May 2021 event:

– How to use your debit card and checking account to grow your savings
– Tips on how to rebuild your emergency found
– Solutions to avoid overspending this summer post-pandemic
– When should you tap into your savings account
– Tips to start teaching children about money

I am glad to say that this was the first Credit Karma virtual event I had attended. In late 2020, Credit Karma hosted a “Sleigh Your Holiday” seminar in which viewers were shown how to have a glorious holiday season on a budget. I then had the pleasure of learning more about Florabrook, beyond hearing tips from caterer and party-maker Annie Campbell and the Cocktail Academy’s Matt Lander.

Below you can find video from my November 2020 interview with the aforementioned Tiffany Aliche, while more on Credit Karma is embedded below and can be found here, here, here and here.
