0Exclusive: Bellator MMA’s Scott Coker On His Proudest Bellator-Related Accomplishment In 2021
Bellator is a leading global MMA and kickboxing promotion featuring many of the best athletes in the world. Under the direction of veteran fight promoter Scott Coker, Bellator events take place in major cities around the world and can be seen on television in over 160 countries to an available audience of over 1 billion people. In the States, Bellator events from all over the world can be seen on Showtime — a new TV deal announced earlier this year — and online via Pluto TV and Bellator’s YouTube channel.
The latest big event for Bellator was Bellator 260 featuring welterweight world champion Douglas Lima (32-8) defending his title against the undefeated No. 1 ranked 170-pounder Yaroslav Amosov (25-0). In the co-main event, the No. 6 ranked welterweight Paul Daley (42-17-2) returned to the Bellator cage facing the surging No. 3 ranked welterweight Jason Jackson (14-4) in a 175-pound contract weight scrap. Also fighting was Kyle Crutchmer and Levan Chokheli in a welterweight bout; Crutcher spoke with The Hype earlier this month, as embedded below for your viewing pleasure.
Following Bellator 260, I had the pleasure of asking the aforementioned Scott Coker about his proudest accomplishment from the first half of 2021. Within that answer, he also opened up about future plans for Bellator.
