Catching up With Nikia Londy CEO of Intriguing Hair

In today’s world, hair has become a staple part of society and social pop culture. From creating some of the most iconic red carpet moments with celebrities like Cardi B, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Sia, Nicki Minaj, and many others, to some of the hottest, most esteemed music videos. Undeniably “love is clearly in the hair”! So where does one go, when creating a show-stopping moment or when sourcing the best quality product to add to their collection? I had the opportunity to catch up with Nikia Londy and Baron Langston, owners of Intriguing Hair, to discuss their company, what makes them unique, and why offering the highest quality products is an absolute must!

Highlights

Where did you discover your passion for hair?

Nikia: “I’ve always been passionate about hair, I’ve been in the industry for about 17 years. It’s something that’s been the love of my life, I’ve been buying hair extensions since I was 15 [years old]. It was just a natural progression to start this business, it’s been 8 years [and an] incredible ride”.

How was Intriguing Hair started?

Baron: She had a lot of ideas, she’s always been in sales and always wanted to be her own boss and be an entrepreneur. Her job started talking about layoffs, so she came with the hair idea [and] was really passionate about it, so we basically put all our last dollars into it. We went door to door, salon to salon, introducing people to our product. She didn’t want to be just like “everyone else” she actually wanted to give people what they were paying for”.

Do you believe you have discovered your purpose?

Nikia: “I would say so. What I really want to do is help more business owners and entrepreneurs. So we really are in the plans of trying to [create] our own accelerated program, for minority business owners that are starting out, that don’t have networks of people. We’re going to help them [from] A to Z. I feel like once that happens our vision will be complete”.
