Tone It Up’s Karena Dawn On Founding “The Big Silence,” Positive Mental Health, Her Upcoming Book & More

Last year I had the pleasure of interviewing Tone It Up co-founder Karena Dawn, who had then teamed up with the creators of Milk Muscle to promote ALTWELL, a newly-launched CBD-Infused CPG line; that Hype Magazine interview can be read by clicking here. Since then, Dawn — also a wellness entrepreneur, New York Times best-selling author, National Alliance On Mental Illness board advisor and a passionate mental health advocate — founded The Big Silence Foundation to further her mission and inspire hope, promote well-being, and erase the stigma surrounding mental health.

In short, The Big Silence is a a platform featuring online and social content, podcast and merchandise, and it provides support, tools and resources to anyone who has been impacted by a mental health condition. By partnering with other organizations in the mental health space and creating impactful campaigns and events, Karena Dawn hopes to end the silence surrounding mental health topics and conversations. TBS will also feature a podcast, as hosted by Dawn as he speaks in-depth with public figures, psychologists, spiritual leaders, wellness experts and anyone willing to share their stories in order to inspire others to do the same. Topics will include addiction, trauma, PTSD, integrating mindfulness, coping with anxiety and depression, nutrition, physical, wellness and self-care.

To learn more about her various endeavours, I had the pleasure of speaking with Karena Dawn again, this time via Zoom on January 25, 2022. In addition to our conversation embedded below, more on Dawn can be found viao www.karenadawn.com, www.toneitup.com and www.thebigsilence.com.
