UFC Star Jorge Masvidal On Panini Trading Cards, Recuerdo Mezcal, Gamebred Fighting Championship & Working With All Elite Wrestling
A professional MMA fighter since 2003, Jorge Masvidal is a featured attraction within UFC’s Welterweight division. He holds the record for the fastest knockout in UFC history at five seconds, and holds the UFC “BMF” Championship belt. He is scheduled to face Colby Covington at UFC 272 on March 5, 2022. Related to his work with the UFC, Jorge Masvidal has been very hands-on with Panini, which is not only today’s leader in collectible sports cards yet also a viable force in the sports NFT world.
UFC aside, Jorge Masvidal is a co-founder of the mezcal brand, El Recuerdo De Oaxaca Joven, as made through a partnership with Recuerdo Mezcal. Last year he launched a bare-knuckle MMA promotion, Gamebred Fighting Championship, which held its inaugural pay-per-view event in June 2021. About 3 months later, Masvidal made his debut for All Elite Wrestling at AEW Grand Slam alongside American Top Team, attacking AEW stars Chris Jericho and Jake Hager. In other words, Masvidal has found success in multiple fields and shows no signs of slowing down when it comes to entrepreneurship.
