Allen Maldonado On The New Film “American Carnage,” The Next Season Of “Heels,” His Music Placement Company & More

Set for release on July 15, 2022 to theater, digital and on-demand outlets via Saban Films, American Carnage was directed and written by Diego Hallivis (Curvature, Game Time) alongside co-writer and brother Julio Hallivis (The Devil Below, Trespassers). Within the movie, after a governor issues an executive order to arrest the children of undocumented immigrants, the newly-detained youth are offered an opportunity to have their charges dropped by volunteering to provide care to the elderly. Once inside the eldercare facility, the volunteers discover the governor and the facility’s supervisor have cooked up a horrifyingly depraved conspiracy that endangers the young and the old in this twisted thriller-comedy. The film stars Jorge Lendeborg Jr. (Spider-Man: Homecoming), Jenna Ortega (X, Scream), Allen Maldonado (The Wonder Years), Bella Ortiz (Chicago Med) and Eric Dane (Euphoria).

The aforementioned Allen Maldonado is an actor you have likely also seen in a variety of film and television projects. Heels and You’re The Worst are two of my favorite projects that he was part of. Maldonado has also been seen in Friday After Next, The Equalizer and Straight Outta Compton, to name a few major films. He will be seen in the upcoming House Party film, and also continues to run the record label Get It Done Records, which regularly places music in shows and movies you watch.

On July 11, 2022, I had the pleasure of speaking with Allen Maldonado via Zoom, as embedded below. More on Maldonado and American Carnage can be found online by clicking here, here and here.
